Tyler Wiles is a third-year Business Administration-Accounting student at St. Clair College in Windsor, as well as the full-time President of the school’s student union. Tyler has been involved with the College Student Alliance since beginning his term on the Student Representative Council in 2005, when he served as a Director, and subsequently as the External Vice-President.

Tyler ran for this position because he believes in the work the CSA is doing, and wants to perpetuate the strong leadership which the CSA has recently enjoyed. He would like to see student interests play a more prominent role in the provincial agenda, and to energize the student voter. As President and Chairperson, Tyler is responsible for providing leadership to the Board, and is the primary spokesperson of the Board to all external partners, stakeholders and media.

Jon Hendel has been heavily involved with the CSA for several years, including last year as a Director, Northern Region. This is his second year as a Board member. A graduate of the Multimedia Production program at Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay, Jon joined the Board because he enjoys exploring new areas of student government and is concerned about issues affecting Ontario college students. Jon is in his second term as a full-time President of the Student Union of Confederation College Inc.

He understands that the key to representing students is increased communication and is committed to building on recent successes. As Vice President and a member of the executive, Jon takes his responsibilities on behalf of college students very seriously and is committed to furthering the effectiveness of CSA’s advocacy work on behalf of students as well providing a positive networking experience for all members. Jon was also a key link on last year’s board in realizing the implementation of the CSA’s new Leadership Success program.

Jim Robeson is currently studying Business Administration (Marketing) at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. He is a third year marketing student as well as the President of the Student Association Kingston Campus. This will be his first year as a Board member of the College Student Alliance (CSA).

Jim joined the CSA Board because he saw the benefits and value this organization has to offer to its members. Jim feels that being able to better inform Ontario’s students of the appropriate information, in the appropriate format will lead to stronger students and a stronger voice. He would like further deepen relationships with current members as well as those not involved with the organization. As Director of Eastern Region, he is responsible for establishing and fostering a two way communication link between the Board and his region’s member student associations.

Stefan Shynkorenko is a recent graduate of the Liberal Studies program at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology. He is currently a Business Accounting student with Sault College. Stefan is in his first term as President of the college’s Student Administrative Council and this is his first year on the Board for the CSA. Stefan has also previously severed two one-year terms as the Vice-President of the student government of Sault College.

This year he is looking forward to bringing his passion for student government, and the skills he has acquired over the last year, to the Board. He would like to focus on a number of key initiatives this year, including furthering the successes of last year and creating a stronger relationship with student associations who are not currently members. As Director of Northern Region, he is responsible for establishing and fostering a two way communication link between the Board and his region’s member student associations.

Jason is a recent graduate of the International Business Management and Business Administration programs at Mohawk College. Jason has also been involved with the Mohawk Students’ Association as a Class Representative, Business Director, 1 Term as MSA President and is returning for his second term as President. Jason has also worked for many departments within the college; Security, Library, and Recruitment.

Jason had the privilege of being involved with CSA for one year which lead him to join the CSA Board of Directors. Jason has a strong passion for students and has a desire to give back to the CSA as well as its membership. He will be acting as the liaison for the Southwestern region and be a strong link for the members to the Board. As Director of The Southwestern Region, he is responsible for establishing and fostering a two way communication link between the Board and his region’s member student associations.

Nina is a second year student currently studying Computer Engineering and Technology at Sheridan College in Brampton, Ontario. Nina is the Director of Marketing for the Sheridan Student Union Incorporated (SSUI) at the Davis campus. This is her first year on the SSUI board and also will be her first year as a member of the College Student Alliance (CSA).

Nina decided to commit to this position because she strongly believes that the CSA truly advocates on behalf of Ontario students and makes a positive difference. Even though this is her first year as part of the CSA board, she has already taken an initiative of building stronger relationships with the organization and the colleges in the central region. She feels that strong leadership comes with great responsibility. Nina would like to strengthen the relationships between all colleges, further the successes of the full-time staff and prior board members, and better serve the students through challenge and changes. As director for the central region Nina will be responsible for establishing and fostering a two-way communication link between the Board and her region’s student association members.
